internet connection over other protocols

by mrkrach . Updated 25 years, 3 months ago

We have a LAN environment with T1 lines. There are around 60 PC’S and 10 unix servers
Only 5 out of these machines are allowed internet connection. Rest are prohibited
from using the TCP/IP stack. Since my PC cannot have TCP/IP stack installed, as a way to
bypass the restriction, I used a software called NetOp that would enable to communicate
with other systems in the LAN using various protocols. I installed the guest part of the software
in my PC and the host part on the machine havingInternet connection(TCP/IP installed). I used the
NetBIOS protocol to communicate with that PC. I could open the browser on that PC from my machine. It
allows a total control of that PC including restart and rebooting. The software sends the mouse
and keystrokes actions that will get reflected on that PC. This is the only hitch. Ideal thing for me
is to browse the net using the browser on that machine sending the signals to that PC from my PC
but the mouse movements and keystrokes reflecting only in my PC and not on that PC.
(In other words, whatever action/display taking place in my PC should not get reflected on that
PC.). Is there any software (free, demo or shareware) that takes care of this?. If so, please inform me
aboutthat. If nothing of that kind is available, is it still possible to overcome these problems?
