Internet Connection Sharing

This is driving me nuts. I’ve networked two PCs with ethernet cards and a crossover cable. The network is working fine and I’ve shared the dial-up internet connection on one PC. Problem is the client just will not use the shared connection for going onto the net. Any ideas? Running Win 2k on both PCs.
