Here is a quick description of my Home network.
Linksys 4-Port router
Connected to that is my cable modem, Linksys Wireless Accesspoint, 1 Win Xp Pro computer(sp2), 1 linksys 4-port switch.
Connected to the switch is 1 Win Xp Home computer(sp2), 1 Win XP Home Laptop(sp2).
The connectivity issue comes about between the laptop and the switch. If I connect the laptop directly to the router all is good. If I connect the laptop through the switch i get massive amounts of dropped packets. The computer that is attached to the switch has no connectivity probs at all. Even tried using a newer switch of the same model and experienced the same problem.
I did various virus scans and used Spy Sweeper and found some things but I think I managed to clean everything off.
I am not quite sure what to do next, any advise is welcome.
