Internet Explorer

After working with Internet Explorer, when I try to close the browser window ,it gives some strange sound and doesn’t close, Every time I have to close it by using Windows Task manager then End task.
This happens irrespective of my connection with internet. This happens irrespective of type of connection: Dail up modem or DSL.
