intranet website user access problem

by mark.huston . Updated 18 years, 6 months ago

I am converting an intranet website to Windows Server 2003 running IIS 6.0. I am using a Microsoft Access database back end. When the user connects to the website a PHP 5.2.5 script access the users login name and looks it up in the database to determine the links the user will see on the left side of the page. I am having problems getting someone who is not a specific member of the NTFS user access list to connect to the database. If I grant “Everyone” read access to the share, they can connect, but the database is not being updated with data. I DO NOT want to grant direct write access to the database. How can I get this to work??? HELP!!!!
