Invalid parameter values

When I enter new contacts in Outlook 2003, I am getting an error message when I attempt to save the contact. The message says “Can’t complete operation- parameter values not valid.I am not a technical person and have no idea what this means. This is a new problem, never happened before. The only thing I have changed is that I have a new blackberry and have been synching that. I am unable to make appointments in the calendar either. I have been having to add everything to my blackberry then synching from there to Outlook. Please help
