The design is like this. I have two 3640 cisco routers that are conntected through a point to point link between location A and Location B. In Location A one ethernet port of the 3640 is connected to the local hub and the other Ethernet port is connected to one port of the cisco Pix firewall. From the other port of the Pix firewall it is connected to the Cisco 1005 router which is direcly connected to the internet cloud. The question now is i could not ping from the 3640 router in the location B to the pix firewall and there onwards. But from the machines that are connected to the Location B router they are able to pibg and go to the internet but not from the router. I tried to add all the routes but to vain. What may be the problem. My ip address for eg in Location B is 192.168.5.x, Ip address of the location A one ethernet port is 192.168.6.x and the other port which is connected to the pix is 192.168.7.x and the pix is also of the same. Can any help me i could also telnet to the pix from the local machines in the location B. but not from the router in the location B.
