IP Routing from a Cat 4506

I just added a GBIC to my 4506 and for some reason it belives that’s the port to go for out going traffic. I added the IP route to 192.168.1.1 but it still try’s to send it to the GBIC port. Any ideas. by the way the GBIC is 192.168.1.4.
