IPC$ Problem

When trying to log on to a server, (I set up) using my user account (not administrator) I recive a message stating
“You must supply a password to make this connection” \\Server\IPC$
I can log on with an administrator account.
but I & other users need to be able to log on with standard user accounts, permissions have been set to allow this, but it will not work. how can I correct the problem? We are running Windows 2K Server
