Iphone 6 Network service unlock

Hello,

I live in Greece and recently my godfather, who lives in the US, gave me his old iPhone 6, but it seems to be locked (network service) on AT&T. So, it doesn’t recognize my Greek sim card and i can not make phone calls.
Is there any way to unlock the network service?
