IPSEC thru Cisco 678 to Linksys VPN

by mybigfoot . Updated 23 years, 9 months ago

How should make my settings so to make a VPN connection from Linksys BEFSX41 VPN router1 thru the Internet thru my Cisco 678 DMT router to my Linksys BEFSX41 VPN router2?

I have working Internet access at both locations. All the Linksys settingsseem to be correct but I can’t seem to connect and I don’t get any log info reported at router2 when router1 tries to connect. Linksys says that I need to show the ISP WAN IP address in the Linksys Admin Status page. Now it shows a NAT address from the Cisco 687. The Cisco router is needed to accept the Qwest RDSL protocol and change it to an Ethernet protocol.

When I try to connect from router2 to router1, the router2 log shows requests transmitted from router1 to router2, but also does not connect.

I think the Cisco NAT needs to be disabled. But I don’t know what else to change to get the IP address to pass through. The Cisco 678 uses CBOS v2.4.5 DMT FULL firmware version G96.

Thanks,
