Is an Intel Core i5 laptop still good for everyday use in 2026

I’m looking to replace my older laptop and I’m considering an intel core i5 laptop for everyday tasks like browsing, Office work, watching videos, and some light photo editing.

I’m not really interested in gaming, so I’m wondering if an i5 is still a good choice in 2026, or if it would be better to go for a newer processor. For those who have been using an i5 laptop recently with 15.6″ screen size, how has your experience been with performance and battery life?
