Is windows 7 compatible in windows server 2003r2

I need help,

We are planning to purchase a laptop with a Windows 7 operating system.

Now we have a windows server 2003 r2 as a domain controller..

My question is,

Is the Win7OS compatible to WinSvr2003R2 domain?

Any information will be a big help.
