Iss 4.0 and frontpage extention

I am hosting 5 website in my webserver and out of those five, four website are going to be updated remotely. How and what do i need to do for the remote sites to publish their website? I belived i have frontpage extention istall in the default page,but do i need to install it on all the website that are going to update remotely?
