issues concerning Network analysis module

hi buddies,
i have installed a NAM module on a cisco 6500 series switch but the problem is that am not able to ping NAM module from that switch.i have tried resetting it and reconfiguring it again but nothing seems to work and when i ping it i just get destination unreachable message ,anyone with an idea on how am supposed to go about it should assist me.
