Hi, Im writing a report based on creating a media server. Ive created the server using apache. My reason was mainly due to peoples opinions just stating that IIS5.1 isn’t secure and Apache is much better. However now i’ve come to writing the report I need some facts and evidence to back up why i choose Apache 2 over IIS5.1, I have windows XP pro and the site is only to be accessed by 1 person so the user limitation wouldn’t be a problem nor would just hosting 1 site as thats the only site i would host on my home machine. The site its hosting is only securely protected by htaccess and the only scripting used is PHP and AJAX. Any reasons as to why to use Apache2 over IIS5.1 would be greatly appreciated and some facts would be nice too. Thanks for your time and appreciate any replies i recieve!
