It is safe to use SSLVPN services like NordVPN

I’m looking for a business solution where employees can safely connect to public WiFi. I’ve never used a SSLVPN solution that wasn’t provided by the firewall and wanted to know if its safe to use a service like NordVPN for business.

The services used by my employees will mainly be O365 (emails, teams, and files from SharePoint).

The main goal is to protect employees when using dirty internet but I don’t want to create a new security issue with a 3rd party VPN
