It’s for the birds

The link goes to a New York Times article about the Audubon Society. I used tinyurl because the link was 101 characters long.

I feed birds here. Usually just sunflower seeds and thistle seed during the warmer months. This year I don’t have to fill the feeder as often as I used to and it’s not as crowded with birds as it used to be either.

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

Do you feed the birds or other wildlife?

Do you read anything regarding conservation of any kind?

Do you practice any type of conservation or do you generate your fair share or more of every kind of waste everyday?

Are you wide-full-open throttle aimed at getting what you can, while you can and think along the lines of “screw everything and everybody who gets in my way,”?

I conserve energy, water, paper and recycle whatever I can. Do you?

Back to the bird thing:
I noticed years ago that there aren’t as many bugs on the cars windshield or circling the streetlights/yard lights as there were when I was a kid, 37+ years ago or so. I wonder if there’s a connection or if it’s just my imagination.

I doubt that I “just imagine? it.
