I am configuring a new computer for a customer.

I saved some time (maybe) by installing XP SP-3 which I downloaded from MS. Everything was going well until Microsoft Update downloaded Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition SP-2 KB921896.

The computer keeps trying to install the downladed update – with no success.

Should I restore the computer to a pre SP-3 install time and update everything the old, slow way?

If anyone has a better idea, I’d sure appreciate hearing about it.
