I work at a doctor’s office and we’re having some RDP issues that haven’t had any resolution yet. We have a Windows server 2003 R2, that also servers as a terminal services manager, 5 exam rooms that use RDP to run the EMR software, each provider may have 1-2 sessions logged in as they see patient’s room to room, and occasionally the keyboard input will stop on RDP, but the mouse still works. I’ve had them minimize the session and open up notepad…type…then maximize RDP and the keyboard is back to working again. It gets really annoying to be asking the patients questions and then have this freeze up happen. Our contracted IT hasn’t been able to figure it out and we’ve had the same set up for years now, so something new has been going on the past several months. All of the exam rooms are running windows 7 pro, the laptops are a couple years old and it’s just recently this has happened. All of the terminal services profiles have been rebuilt but after a full week the keyboard freezes have started up again. If anyone could shed light on this I’d greatly appreciate it. It’s not the only funky RDP issue but it’s consistent and annoying.
