keyboard problem

My keyboard is not working on my labtop. When i try to type the right letter isnt showing up.. this is was it shows up whe i try to type (dshi?>>N@$TGVjkmj) I cannot type anything onto my computer, but i can use the on-screen keyboard. Is there any way the to fix this?
