keyboard problem

Hi techs.I have an old ibm 300pl computer.todays ago i installed one program.after that after windows displays the welcome screen,the system reboots.i tried to change the boot sequence.but after entering set up my keyboard stops responding and am unable to change the sequence.Also after pressing F8 the windows advanced option appears,but my keyboard stops responding to select safe mode.I tried d/t keyboards with same effect.
