Kyocera Printer Setup

Has anyone had any luck adding a Kyocera FS-1700 laser printer to their network and printing to it via the network card using TCP IP. I can add the IP address and Mask to it and I can ping it from Various Pcs in our network (win 200, NT 4 server and Win 98 PC). But I can not add this printer via Jetdirect or Kyoceras version of Jetdirect.

Anyone got any ideas or any documentation. I have tried to search their web and contact them and still no luck. They say to create a port and Use LPD/LPR. I want to avoid this, as our buisness program can only connect VIA IP.
