LACIE External USB Disk Boots before my Internal SATA disks

by robert.lopez . Updated 17 years, 5 months ago

Hi There,

I have an issue with my External USB disk connected to a HP G5 ML110 using Raid 1 on SATA drives.

When I reboot the server the USB disk tries to boot first. The Boot order is set to DVD, Hard Disk, USB so I can’t see why it is jumping up the queue and booting that first.

At the moment the workaround is to turn the hard disk off and reboot then turn it back on post W2k3 has begun loading.

Has anyone seen this or know how to fix this issue help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks
