LAN connected to the NET via ADSL router

Hi there.

I have a LAN of about 20 users connected to a 24 port 100mbps switch. I also have a Netgear DG834 ADSL router connected to the same switch to allow for internet access. So far all has been going well and the speeds to the internet have been good. Running a 4meg line.

The ADSL router is connected to the switch via a cat5e cable and the ports on the ADSL router can only run at a max of 100mbps. There are 4 ports on the ADSL router.

Question I have; is this the best way of doing this, or is there another way of getting optimal performance out of the switch and ADSL router?
