Laptop LCD screen stripes/lines

My laptop LCD screen has developed 3- 1 1/2 inch wide white stripes. 1 is on the far left edge and the other 2 are on the right side. Problem started with 1 white stripe and the other 2 appeared shortly thereafter. I’m trying to determine if I need to replace the inverter cable or the LCD screen.
Thoughts?
