Large file copy failed – LAN W98SE

Hello,

I have a small W98SE network at home (PIII 750 384 Mb – Celeron 400 256 Mb – switch 100 Mbps – Netgear adapters). PIII is gateway for W98 internet share (ADSL connection via a second NIC).

For some time now, copying large files (800 Mbytes) from PIII computer to Celeron is impossible : after copying 300 to 400 Mb, error message : “network ressource unavailable”.

After these tests, the PIII processor runs 100% continuously.

I know this is quite specific, but has someone got an idea ? Thanks…
