laserjet 4200 tray settings – possible to lock

We have several laserjet 4200 printers. The driver is installed on the server. As users connect, they download and install the driver to their workstation. They access the printer interface primarily from within Word or Excel. The issue is that frequently, when users print, they specific a printer tray, along with doc type, even though I say to always use autoselect, and this messes up the printer tray settings. Is there a way to lock the printer so that the settings do not change?
