LCD Display problem PLEASE help

this seems like a super simple fix i just cant put my finger on it. my hard drive recently crashed and so i bought a new one reinstalled windows xp and added some mem. and had to reinstall my nvidia vid. card driver as well. everything works perfect aside from the strip of black on the left side of my screen. the viewing area is not spanned across my entire lcd screen. i have a toshiba satellite notebook. i went into the settings and messed around with the monitors by disabling and enabling, attaching and everything else. can someone PLEASE help me finalize my hardware install so i have a perfectly functioning computer once again?…
