Hi,
I’m 23 yrs old and have recently signed off from the army and will be out in about a years time, after i leave i want to get into a career in i.t. maybe starting off as desktop support, i have done a bit of research and i’m thinking that the CompTia A+ followed by an MCSDT course is the way for me to go.
Is this the right route for me? The only other I.T. qualification i have is a GNVQ in IT which i got while at secondary school although i do have a good knowledge of computing having dropped out after a year and a half of a BTEC ND in Computing (stupid i know).
Also, even when i have some good quals i’m thinking that it is going to be very hard for me to find a job as i have no previous I.T. experience, is experience a big thing when trying to find a job in i.t.?
