Lenove T60/T61 VPN issue

I have both laptops and I’m having a problem with the VPN. I can hook-up to the VPN no problem BUT when I tried to setup Outlook 2003 it can’t find the server. I can ping the IP address no problem. And I also add the IP address under the Host file. This is issue is only with these laptops. Other laptos that I’ve used VPN and Outlook 2003 I have no issues at all.

I would like to know if there is a certain security that I need to disable.
