lexmark printer error#1203 how to fix

yes i install a new printer cartridge and recived error#1203 have tried to clear it with all the 123 steps in owners manual tried to go to lexmark web site and could not get any info at all nor tech support also what is a printer cartidge short is it electrical or do i need to buy a whole new printer cartrge and if so would this resolve my problem need easyest answer to fix problem fast
