Light instead of Radio for WiFi

Signify (owns brands such as: Philips Lighting and largest LED manuf in the world) has a product they are bringing to market which uses Light instead of Radio for WiFi connectivity. I am Head of North America Sales, and I was curious about the interest and what use cases could be thought up.
