Line Printer emulation RS232

I have a device that outputs information to a okidata line printer via rs232 port, anyone tell me where I can find software to load on an xp pro machine to emulate the printer to show on a monitor and save to a file. I have a rs232 to usb2 cable. Could anyone help. Understand what I am trying to do. basically I want to take away the printer and paper and output this information to a monitor. thanks in advance.
