linux bootloader

I installed corel linux on a separate scsi
drive so it would not cause problems with
windows. Now when I boot my machine, LILO
comes up and I choose my OS.
When I try to shutdown windows I get a fatal
error and I have to turn off my machine.
Ican no longer boot windows in safe mode.
If I disconnect my scsi drive and start my
machine, I get “01” all over my screen.
Where does LINUX WRITE THE BOOTLOADER instructions in windows? I wish to remove it
but dont know how. This has become a major
problem for me. Hope someone can help!!!!
