Hi
I am running Mandrake Linux 9.2 as a file & mail server. We have moved our the hosting of our Website/Domain Name from on-site to a off-site provider. We are unable to access our website internal (www.company.co.za)
Where or how can I resolve this “routing” problem? This only works when I add the new External Website IP on all the PC’s windows “hosts” file. The current Linux Server DNS is under my control. Our ISP control the external DNS. I get a google search web page when trying www.company.co.za.
Do I have to edit /etc/hosts on the Linux Server & add: IP address www.company.co.za What about the /etc/resolve.conf & db.company.co.za.hosts file (var/named/zone…) www.company.co.za. IN CNAME External IP address (will this work?)
Regards
Morn?
