Lockfile creation failed

Hi
I have an issue on two of my linux servers.
Here when i restart networking or restart lighttpd i get the following error after one or two minutes of restart.
Lockfile creation failed and it appears in 9 different lines as
as:
abc:~lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed
lockfile creation failed

and after the 9th line it hangs.
