Logging in Windows XP using a domain which is not available

I have a user id and password for a domain. But I want to know how I could use this domain while logging into the PC. I don’t know any other id. So I cannot log into windows and configure any changes for VPN. Is there anyway to login to this PC after making a LAN with another PC for which the domain is accessed through VPN?
