Looking for a Fully automated solution to roll out Laptop/Desktop builds

Dear Colleagues

I am after a fully automated (or as much as possible) method of rolling out a XP/Vista build/Image, including drivers and business related applications.

I have used a Server/Client version of ‘Ghost’ before in previous companies, however we do not have the budget to pay for a such a method at the moment. I have been assigned this task and would like to hear other peoples recommendations and advice and experiences.

We are running a Windows Server/Desktop environment and mainly run XP. We also have various sites in Europe and don’t have a vast amount of bandwidth to waste.

Any advice or recommendations would be much appreciated.
