I have been looking all day, I’ve found thousand of disk wiping programs, but before I try to start hacking and slashing my way through a program that I could somehow deploy using a batchscript that modifies someone’s autoexec.bat file or something. I am looking for an application to Wipe a Hard Drive on a remote computer according to the DoD 7 pass format. This isn’t to start formatting people’s computers willy nilly, in my job I deal with a lot of end of life pc’s that are about to get shipped off to recycle, and I have to manually Wipe each one using a bootable cd. The work load has become to great, and I don’t have the time to walk people through downloading an ISO and burning a cd, or doing it myself for each pc. If there is possibly an application out there that sync’s with Active Directory, or let’s me choose a remote host on the network to initiate a restart with a dod wipe that would be absolutely freaking fantastic. And please no one recommend EBAN, it’s a PXE server running inside of a VMWare session, that is not what I’m looking for.
