Looking To Connect USB to Serial Interface DB9

I know this is crazy, but we have some clients that need to use their new USB Printers with an Application that is still only recognizing Serial Printers and we do not expect the software upgrade for 6+ Months. Can anyone offer some assistance with this? How can we connect the USB Printer to the serial port or make the Application recognize this printer with out coding? Thank You
