I have comcast@home. Right now I pay for 3 static ip’s for my three systems. They are connect on a simple ethernet hub. The network is slow and unreliable. I have done research and found out through various resources and comcast that each ip address gets allocated its own 1.5Mbps connection, for my upgrade i would like to include a router and a server. I was told and suspected there might be a way to combine the 3 connections for a 4.5Mbps connection. If this true what I would be looking for is my modem to the router, to server (server combining connections and allocating bandwidth as it would see fit) to which ever system is on. Server would be running Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Can advanced server do this, also what type of router should be used, if this is not the case is there a way to accomplish this if so how, if not why????
