Loosing connection

Every day at 4:30 pm the same users get an error stating can not connect to the sql servers? Even though they were able to connect all day before 4 :30pm. We have 500 users and only 5 every day lose connection while doing Access applications. we upgrade sql os from windows nt to windows 2000. Majority of users a using windows nt platform on the desktop.
