Losing ping on software load on Server 2003

All of a sudden our Server 2003 isn’t connecting to the network. We had installed the latest updates but since have uninstalled them to make sure that wasn’t it. This is obviously a software issue but have not a clue since we haven’t done anything recently but one printer which we have unistalled. Anyone hae any ideas what could be dropping the network connection.
