lost Mac apps on iMac

did you ever lost apps on your Mac? I did.
Last week I lost some apps while upgrading to 10.9(Mavericks) and I got nothing about the lost apps on my iMac.
I tried to get them back, but nothing found, do you know to get lost Mac apps back?
