Please clarify a recent Lotus Notes tip techrepublic sent me.
Lotus Notes help indicates that “The access level assigned to the individual name takes precedence over the access level for the group, even if the individual access level is lower than the group level.”
But techrepublic’s tip stated “ACL ENTRY PRECEDENCE: Notes always overrides the user’s access rights with the Group’s if the or she is listed in the ACL both as an explicit user and a member of a group. Since this user is part of a group that’s only been granted Author access, Notes assigns that access level instead of the explicit definition. ”
So how does Lotus handle the ACL?
