I am doing a Wi-Fi, Cat5e & RG6 wiring with centralized media cabinet installation. A friend has asked me to take over the job because of his frustration in the disparity in pricing he has been getting from other installers that range from $2/ft to over $10/ft of installed wire. Until now I have done some installations at not charge for family and friends, but this is a bigger job that I need to charge for materials and labor.
I would like to know from experienced low voltage installers what would be a fair way of pricing the job. I don?t want to be unfair to my friend by charging too much, but I need to make sure that all the materials costs are covered and I get some money for my efforts.
