macs logging onto server 2003

we have 1 G5 mac and 4 G4 macs
the G5 can connect to server 2003 as smb and afp with no problems
however the G4s can only connect as smb, this only started this week and all have been working OK until now
CAN SOMEONE HELP PLEASE
