Magnetic Tools

I hear so many people claiming Magnetic tools are a Major NO NO for working on PC’s, but others say they are the BEST. I currently do not use them, but I would rather use them. Everytime I drop one of those tiny screws in the bottom of a PC I get frustrated. Sometimes I put flux on the tip of the screw driver to help it stay on, but over all I would be much happier with some magnetic tip screws.

Is there any truth to magnetic tools causing damage to Hardware in PC’s.
