Manage w2k servers w/ iPaq

by joshua1 . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

Currently when I get called after hours, I have to go back home (or to the hotel) in order to fire up my laptop and connect to my VPN to fix something (kill a process, change an account, etc.)
My goal is to use a Pocket PC, so I can take it just about everywhere, and to use a wireless card & data service from my cellular provider so I can connect to the VPN.
I’ve looked at iPaq’s, wireless cards, and wireless service and all that looks fine. My question is about the software necessary to administer w2k servers.

There’s not a TS client for PDA’s, right? The web-based TS doesn’t sound like it will be functional on a PDA (screen is too small?). I’ve read about ASG-MobileControl Administrator (StarAdmin). Does anyone know how well this works? Are there are other options (that maybe cost less).

Before I buy the iPaq, I need to verify that I can effectively perform basic ‘weekend maintenance’.

Thanks.
